For those who are running a little behind the curve, Sept 23 kicked off the 100th anniversary of the Gaston Leroux novel. Now if you missed it, don't be too upset because the book ran as a serial in a newspaper from the 23rd of Sept through the 10th of Jan. So you've still got a little time to use the anniversary as a really good excuse for obsessive behaviour! At any rate, I went up to NYC for the day with one of my friends in costume for the occasion. It was just the two of us so pictures are a little sparse, and I haven't gotten quite so far as to upload yet because of work and packing for actual genuine vacation! But they will be posted

Went up to Baltimore Friday afternoon and got some more pics in costume. This time the excuse was testing out the liquid latex I'd just gotten hold of. I had forgotten how very much that shite BURNS! Fortunately, got away with only some minor skin irritation the next day, rather than the full on Gerik quality rash I was expecting. So apparently I'm down my Raoul. He has to work :( And Mme Giry may be lost to a prenatal doctor appt. (Well where exactly DID you think Meg came from, hm?) But Christine is still all in, though even if I end up wandering the streets of Manhattan alone (first one to make a LND/POM joke DIES) it should still be rather entertaining. I'm planning on making up a nice 100th anniversary mini-poster that I can beg the cast to sign and then take home and frame. Anyone with suggestions as to what I should put on it, please let me know! Beyond that I'm just really REALLY excited about going up for the day and hoping that masked weirdo+NYC+September do
